Fuzzibunz Nappies Care and Use

Cloth nappies are comfortable for baby, save you money, and are easy to use. Fuzzibunz nappies are a modern, fitted design that you just place on baby and use reliable snaps to hold in place. As easy as disposables, and more caring and soft on babies delicate skin. Following is a guide to Fuzzibunz cloth nappy care.

Pre-use Preparation

When you first get your FuzziBunz®, try them on your baby for fit BEFORE washing. If they fit, then you should wash the nappies before wearing. Fuzzibunz has found inserts do increase in adsorbency after a few washes, but they should provide adequate adsorbency after the initial wash.

Washing and Care

Caring for your FuzziBunz®:

FuzziBunz® nappies are single use nappies, meaning you wash both the FuzziBunz® nappy and the separated insert after each use.

Most babies will experience little to no nappy rash after using FuzziBunz®. Do not use any rash or nappy ointments or creams with the nappies, as they cause nappies to repel and not function properly. Instead, use zinc powder or a rice paper liner between the ointment and the FuzziBunz fleece.

When wet, separate insert and FuzziBunz® and store in a dry nappy bucket. The nappy bucket should be open to allow air circulation. A closed bucket may cause mold if you let the nappies sit too long between washings.

If soiled, simply knock solids into toilet. Small solids stuck to the fleece will dissolve in the wash. If preferred you can use a mini-shower toilet attachment to rinse off soiled diapers over the toilet (optional).

Washing/Drying your FuzziBunz®:

First, run a cold rinse or soak cycle with no detergent.

Second, run a hot cycle with detergent. Do not use bleach. Avoid detergents with dyes or perfumes - especially scents. This may interact with urine and cause a foul odor.

Third, if your hot wash is not automatically followed by a cold rinse, run a cold rinse cycle. This step is only necessary with a particularly dirty load.

Tumble dry the nappies in a dryer on low, or hang to dry. Do not use fabric softener or pure soap. Never dry on high heat.

Remember to use a reduced amount of detergent, especially for Front Loaders. Fuzzibunz recommends starting with 1/4 of the recommended amount, and gradually increasing it if you find your nappies aren't coming clean. Excessive detergent can cause residue build up in nappies, reducing adsorbency.

Fuzzibunz Product Warranty

All products are guaranteed against material or workmanship defects for 60 days from the date of purchase (or birth of your baby if purchased for an unborn baby). This covers stitching and seams, elastics, or if any of the product’s components come undone or detached.

Snap defects are covered for 90 days.

Customers MUST have a receipt or proof of purchase that will be sent to Fuzzibunz with the returned item.

For defective products, Fuzzibunz will first attempt to repair the product. If the product cannot be repaired they will then exchange or replace the defective product with an exact same product, colour and size.  Please note that leaking problems are generally not considered a manufacturing defect.

Fuzzibunz target a high level of quality, but as with any frequently used and washed cloth product, they will eventually show signs of wear.  As such, Fuzzibunz are not responsible for damage to an item caused by normal fading or normal "wear and tear" of the product materials or improper care, abuse or misuse.

If you have any questions, please contact us at Motherslove and we will clarify any concerns or help process any warranty issues.
